Run and jump your way through a world filled with traps, enemies and opportunities to advance. Vex is an action runner with roguelike elements. Run as far as you can, collecting gold and avoiding traps. HARNESS THE POWER OF YOUR CHARACTER! There are 6 playable characters to choose from and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Overcome obstacles with different abilities and upgrade your character's abilities by spending gold. Each time you play through the game, you'll encounter new traps, enemies and opportunities. It’s up to you to decide whether to take the risk and attempt the challenge or turn back. 

In the a dystopian world, humans have been infected by a virus called Vex. You play as a runner named Vex, and you are tasked to evade the Vex while collecting the augmentations to upgrade your abilities. You can upgrade your abilities by collecting the augmentations, and completing challenges. The game has a responsive and smooth gameplay with various levels. Vex 5 has 12 chapters and the game is still in its early access phase. As of now, the game has 5 chapters. The game also has a level editor which allows the players to create their own custom levels. Vex is a side-scrolling action game with RPG elements and rogue-lite elements. It is a single player game, so you won’t encounter other players while playing it. The game revolves around the world of the Immortals, a civilization of supernaturally powerful beings. The Vex are an ancient race of giant mechanical insects that were created by the Immortals as servants. Vex, however, rebelled and decided to destroy the Immortals, who had abandoned them millennia ago. The game takes place in the world of the Immortals and the player will take the role of one of the few remaining Immortals who must defeat the Vex and free the world that was once

Vex is a challenging 2D action platformer reminiscent of classics like Super Meat Boy and Castle Crashers. The game's fast-paced gameplay will have you completing various missions to rescue civilians from the Vex threat. You'll need to master Vex’s advanced AI and take advantage of the environment in order to complete each level. Vex is a running platform game in which the player controls a dragon through a series of stages in order to collect as many gold coins as possible. Collecting coins allows the player to upgrade their dragon’s abilities and purchase new stages. The game was developed by students at the University of Waterloo, under the mentorship of Professor Thomas Vander Wal at the Centre for Digital Media.
